Amalia Cotter
Amalia began dancing at the age of 4, competing for over 20 years. Amalia is a Champion dancer holding numerous regional and national championship titles.
In addition, she has represented Ozscot Australia, a prestigious and internationally recognised dance team. Amalia has danced with Ozscot at numerous Tattoos and events including:

Since 2010, Amalia has been a teacher with the National Dancing Association of Australia and Ballet Australasia Limited. Since 2015, she is an accredited judge with the Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing (SOBHD) and is a member of the Australian Board of Highland Dancing Inc and SOBHD Judges Panel.
Professionally, Amalia is a Registered Nurse and has a Cert 3 and 4 in Fitness. Using her knowledge of health, she develops dancer-focused strength programs
In 2015, Amalia opened Cotter Academy of Highland Dancing. The academy includes beginner students up to advanced dancers. She is an accredited Highland Hustle fitness instructor, and runs weekly adult classes.
With her unrelenting passion for Highland, Amalia is keen to share her knowledge and skills with today’s upcoming dancers, aiding in their journey of becoming the best dancer they can be.
